God says the problem is sin: 'all
have sinned... the wages of sin is death ... but your iniquities have separated
you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you ...'
(Romans
3 v.23, 6 v.23 & Isaiah 59 v.2)
God lists some sins: 'misuse
of the name of the Lord ... sexual immorality... hatred ... jealousy...
envy ... drunkenness ... They which do such
things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.'
(Exodus
20 v.7, Galatians 5 v.19-21).

BUT |
 |
'For Christ also suffered once for sins, the
just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God ...' (1
Peter 3 v.l8)
'Every priest stands ministering daily and
offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat
down at the right hand of God' (Hebrews 10
v.11,12)
'... the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses
us from all sin' (1 John 1 v.7).
'He himself bore our sins in his own body
on the tree...' (1 Peter 2 v.24).
You
can be forgiven... Repent, turn from your sins, and call on Jesus to save
you. Put your faith in Him alone.
'Repent then
and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out,' (Acts
3 v.19)
'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord
will be saved ... In Him (Jesus) we have redemption, the forgiveness of
sins' (Romans 10 v.13 & Ephesians 1 v.7).
Jesus says, "I
am the way, the truth, and the life; no-one comes to the Father except
through me' (John
14 v.6).
Jesus says, 'I
give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish; no-one can snatch
them out of my hand ...' (John
10 v.28).
'Whoever hears My word and believes on Him
who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed
over from death to life...' (John
5 v.24).
'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is
a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become
new.' (2 Corinthians 5 v.17).
'There is now no condemnation for those who
are in Christ Jesus' (Romans 8
v.1).
Which
Sacrifice?
Speaking
of Jesus 'He himself bore our sins in His
own body on the tree ... when this priest (Jesus) had offered for all time
one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God' (1
Peter 2 v.24 & Hebrews 10 v.l2).
On the cross, nearly 2000 years ago, Jesus
said 'It is finished'
No repeats. 'Christ died for sins once for
all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.' (1
Peter 3 v.18).
On the cross Jesus paid the full price for
our forgiveness. Which sacrifice are you trusting in? Will you accept His
free gift of forgiveness today? Trust only in the risen Lord Jesus Christ.
Obey God?
A woman in the crowd called out, 'Blessed
is the mother who gave birth and nursed you.' Jesus replied, 'Blessed rather
are those who hear the word of God and obey it.' (Luke
11 v.27,28).
The message of the Bible, the word of God
is clear: Saved or Lost, Repent or Perish, Heaven or Hell forever. No half
way house - your eternity depends on your choice in this life.
. 'Eternal punishment' or
'Eternal life'.
'Today if you hear His voice do not harden your
hearts' (Matthew 25 v.46 & Hebrews 3 v.15).
Tomorrow you may not hear
Him.
Good
News
'Christ Jesus came into the world to save
sinners .....I (Jesus) am the door; by me if any man enter in he shall
be saved ... I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full
... the gift of God is eternal life' (1 Timothy
1 v.l5, John 10 v.9,10 & Romans 6 v.23).
Jesus says 'The
Spirit gives life, the flesh counts for nothing .... Flesh gives birth
to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit... You must be born again'
(John 3 v.6,7).
Born again (see John
chapter 3). It is spiritual birth, by the
transforming power of the Holy Spirit. You personally call on God to forgive
you and give you His promised Holy Spirit to change you.
Life and Love in Jesus
In your own words, pray to Jesus now, or use
these words:
"Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner. I believe
You died for my sins, once forever on the cross, I know I cannot make myself
good enough for You. I now repent, turn away from my sins and call on You
to save me. I receive You now by faith into my life as my Lord and Saviour.
I am trusting in You alone".
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but
have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn
the world; but that the world through Him might be saved."
(John 3 v.16 & 17)
