Who Cares? |
Have YOU ever felt, said or thought something similar...?
Throughout this life our feelings and emotions seem to change so often. Sometimes it's as if we are on the mountain top; other times we feel as if we're in the deepest, loneliest valley. We all struggle, hoping things will get better in the future.
I feel like giving up!
Nobody understands what I'm going through!
I'm struggling in life!
I don't know which way to turn!
I need help!
I've got no money!
I need a friend!
I can't take it anymore!
I need a job!
I'm lonely and scared!
Nobody loves me!
I'm 'faking' it just like the rest!
I want to be loved!I feel useless!
My parents have rejected me!
I just don't know what to do!
I've been let down!
I've been cheated on!
It's not fair!
Why does it always happen to me?
I can't stop what I'm doing!
I want to know the answer to it all!
Is there something better than this?
I'm carrying so much guilt!
I'm living a lie!.... I have!
I've often sat and wondered what life is all about! Is there a meaning and purpose to it all?
In 1989 I found out there was!
I met Karen who was a Christian. She told me about Jesus Christ and the love He had towards us. My immediate reaction was like most - a 'fanatic' who had been deceived and brainwashed! However, the more I listened the more my thoughts began to change and I became very interested in what she had to say. Until this time I had never really heard much about God or spiritual things.
No matter what arguments I raised she kept coming back to the same thing - Jesus Christ loved me so much that He died for me! She definitely showed a peace and love that I wished I had. After a while I asked her for a Bible so I could look into this 'religion' for myself. I started to read it every day and found I could relate to it. I realised these men and women in the Bible went through the same kind of things that I go through - as in the list above.
I saw Karen again and asked her
what I had to do to become a Christian. She told me that I must recognise
I was a sinner, / knew I was, I'd done some terrible things in my life!
I must then believe that the Lord Jesus died on the Cross because of
my sin and rose again to set me free from judgement and Hell. That week
I did confess my sin to the Lord and asked Him to save me!
"Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15 v.3-4)
"....Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification." (Romans 4 v.25)
"For there is one God, and one
mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2 v.5)
Reader, would you like to know the true meaning of life and the purpose to it all? Then become a Christian! Receive the peace that God offers! "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16 v.33)
Here are a few verses from the Bible for you to think
about ....
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3 v.l6)I'm not saying that being a Christian will take away all your troubles, but the Lord will help you through them. He will be your best friend who will NEVER leave you or let you down."I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John l0 v.l0)
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment...." (Hebrews 9 v.27)
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6 v.23)
Why not give your heart and life to the Lord Jesus
Christ right now where you are, and start afresh?
